DESCRIPTION
Solid private company with a fast-paced, growth orientation designs and manufactures high performance power supplies (typically ranging from 5-150 watts) that power electronic equipment for major customers who are leaders in their fields (spanning medical, commercial and industrial applications).
Regional Sales Manager will:
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals
- Increase sales to existing customers
- Bring in new OEM customers
- Provide leadership and training to sales representative firms
- Support company distribution channel
- Develop excellent working relationships with teammates
- Communicate status to executive management
Company is based in Irvine, California and position will involve travel in the southeastern US. Sales Manager can be based in the east or Southeast. Travel may be 30-50%.
Position also provides excellent opportunity for advancement to Director or VP of Sales. Currently reports directly to COO.

REQUIREMENTS
The desired candidate should have the following qualifications:
- At least 5-10 years experience in sales of electronic components to electrical engineers (ideally power products, e.g. AD/DC converters, switching power supplies)or at least electronic components. Looking for someone who can conduct technical give-and-take with design engineer on custom requirements, versus present the standard product the fab makes.
- A hunter (not a nurturer)
- Desire knowledge of the customers in the east/southeat region
- A track record of constantly increasing sales in assigned geographic responsibility
- A BS degree (preferably a BSEE)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand and communicate key technical information relating to power supplies
- Successful experience providing leadership to sales representative organizations.
