DESCRIPTION
This HR Director position is with a HealthCare related organization. A background in HealthCare and management of HealthCare Professionals, eg Nurses, PT, OT, SLT, Nurse Aids, is considered critical to this position. This is NOT a hospital position nor is it associated with any hospital.
Plan and develop policy and direct human resource activity such as employment, compensation, employee selection, benefits, and record management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Coordinate employee orientation activities with Performance Improvement (PI) Educator
* Recommend appropriate employee services that meeet the neeeds of employees as well as the organization
* Review all job descriptions annually and revise job descriptions to meet current position duties
* Overesee the performance management program and use of performance evaluation tools
* Develop and implement performance evaluation tools
* Conduct salary surveys within the appropriate labor market to determine competitive wage rates
* Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and improve retention of staff
* Maintain all employee files and peresonnel records in accordance with Federal and State labor laws, licensure requirments and certification requirements
* Keep and update records of peresonnel transactions such as hires, promotions, tranasfers, leaves of absences, pay increases, benefit changes, terminations and resignations
*Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation in teermination cases to ensure the termination is legally defensible and is appropriate
* Obtain Executive Director level authority to finalize terminations
* Conduct employee exit intereview to determine reasons behind separations
* Prepare and submit Texas Eemployment Commission notices as appropriate
* Process and perform timely follow-up of all unemployment claims
* Prepare and submit reports as requested by the Executive Director
* Additional duties as assigned by Executive Director

REQUIREMENTS
* At least 5 years recent experience in Human Resources
* BA/BS in Management, Human Resources, Business, Personnel Management
* Proven and verifiable Human Resources management skills
* Good time management skills
* Previous Health Care HR Director Level experience preferred
